Valencia (Spain), April 10, 2026 – XCHG Limited (NASDAQ: XCH) (“XCharge” or the “Company”), today inaugurated their first European assembly line in Silla (Valencia, Spain).

With production expected to reach full capacity during 2027, the nearly 3,000 m² facility will focus on assembling high-power charging infrastructure and battery systems for the European market under the 'Made in Spain’ label. This milestone marks a turning point in XCharge’s European industrial strategy, strengthening its regional presence and reinforcing Spain’s role as a key strategic market.

Distinguished representatives from the national, regional, and local governments attended the opening ceremony introduced by Javier Lázaro, Head of Sales at XCharge Europe. Jaime D. Peris Pascual, Special Commissioner for Reindustrialization of the Spanish Government, Felipe Javier Carrasco Torres, Regional Secretary of Industry, Trade and Consumer Affairs of the Valencian Government, and Vicente Zaragozá Alberola, Mayor of the Local Government of Silla, highlighted XCharge’s commitment to institutional initiatives that promote regional reindustrialization, high-value investments in key sectors, the creation of skilled jobs, and decarbonization goals, while Albina Iljasov, Head of Europe at XCharge, took the stage to explain the details of the assembly plant in the future and highlight the company’s key milestones in Europe.

The event also received support from José Cabanes, President of Mancomunitat de l'Horta Sur, and Ester Olivas Cáceres, Director of Strategic Projects at the Valencian Government, as well as from key charging point operators, associations and companies leading the sustainable mobility sector, including Acciona, AVIA, AEDIVE, EMS, Etecnic, Mides, Movea Consulting, Remo, Repsol, Zunder, Iberdrola | bp pulse, and law firm Gómez-Acebo & Pombo.

    Strengthening the European innovation ecosystem

The opening complements the new technical center and warehouse opened in Madrid in September 2025 and the laboratory opened in Hamburg at the end of 2024, creating a robust European R&D network that enables the company to conduct rigorous testing, design customized solutions, and drive innovation across the continent.

With dual global headquarters in Hamburg, Germany, and Austin, Texas, XCharge has been active in the European market since 2017, collaborating with teams across North America and Asia under a shared vision and mission. The Company has already installed over 9,000 chargers worldwide and nearly 3,000 units in the EU.

The Silla plant will assemble equipment from XCharge’s most advanced product range, starting with the revolutionary GridLink system, delivering nearly 200 kW of power with just 44 kW of grid input thanks to its patented 215 kWh battery storage, expandable to 430 kWh. It also offers advanced safety features and channels solar energy directly into DC fast charging. This allows ultra-fast charging to be implemented without modifying the electrical installation and enables the charger to operate independently during power outages.

“The new Silla plant is the industrial link that completes XCharge’s expansion in Spain and embodies our commitment to a more resilient, efficient, and sustainable European supply chain,” highlights Albina Iljasov, Head of Europe at XCharge.Beyond its operational role, this facility reflects our vision for building a stronger value chain, grounded in engineering excellence, continuous innovation, and a long-term commitment to the energy transition. As a global company, we see Europe not just as a market, but as a cornerstone of a cleaner, more sovereign energy future”.

    Contributing to industrial growth

The project aims to promote technology transfer and contribute to industrial growth in an area that already boasts one of the strongest automotive and electric mobility ecosystems in Spain. The facility’s scalable design positions it as a key asset within the European electromobility value chain.

“The opening of this plant is not just an operational decision, but a long-term commitment. We want to make Spain a leading industrial and energy hub. The Valencian Community offers us a unique combination of talent, renewable energy, and business activity, reinforcing our belief that the future of sustainable mobility is built in close collaboration with local communities and ecosystems,” concludes Javier Lázaro, Head of Sales at XCharge Europe.

Spain is experiencing an unprecedented acceleration in its transition to sustainable mobility: in 2025, sales of pure electric passenger cars surpassed 100,000 units for the first time in the country, according to ANFAC. This confluence of a mature industrial ecosystem, specialized talent, and growing demand positions Spain -and Valencia in particular- as a leading international hub for electromobility in Europe.
