Madrid, June 4, 2024. XCharge, one of the world's leading providers of high-power and battery-integrated charging solutions for electric vehicles, is expanding its value chain on the European continent to support its growth and contribute to the regional economy.
“Promoting electric mobility is one of the keys to shaping Europe's sustainable future,” highlights Javier Lázaro, Head of Sales at XCharge Europe. “And at XCharge we are determined to accelerate this future in Spain and the rest of Europe through innovation and close collaboration with the local ecosystem.”
This commitment involves the creation of laboratories and an upcoming R&D center, continuous work with local partners for customized solutions, expansion of the charging network and prioritization of EU’s rigorous EV standards.
In 2023, XCharge established a testing laboratory with SGS in Madrid (Spain), essential for the testing of different vehicles (electric cars, electric trucks, and buses) and collaborating with OEMs and CPOs to guarantee the quality and performance of the charging points.
The company announced it will also open a new testing laboratory in Hamburg (Germany) in Q3, and an R&D center in the future, which will join its current headquarters to enrich products with local knowledge and customer feedback. Further facilities in Europe are planned to be opened in the future.
Local synergies and regional talents
To date, XCharge has deployed more than 2,500 DC chargers to boost electric mobility on the European continent, many of them being ultra-fast charging points (above 150 kW) essential for users’ convenience, while its advanced solutions also comply with the most rigorous EU regulations on the market like AFIR for credit card payment methods, and the German Eichrecht standard.
XCharge also values diversity with a multicultural team from several countries to strengthen its local presence and global influence. Their employees come from different nationalities, servicing 22 European countries and encouraging the fusion of diverse backgrounds and ideas to accelerate innovative solutions and growth in all markets. By expanding regional talents within Europe, XCharge closely understands customer demands for customized solutions.
Going greener
Moving its value creation process to local markets and incorporating the evaluation of greenhouse gas emissions into supplier management to align with EU regulations are more of XCharges’ efforts to boost electric mobility and drive the region and ultimately our planet to a low-carbon, clean-energy powered future.
Since 2017, XCharge has been a driving force for the electric vehicle industry across Europe, providing advanced solutions and a best-in-class service both commercial and technical. With teams strategically located in Germany, France, Spain, and Italy, the company guarantees fast and responsive support to customers and partners.
“R&D proactivity and innovation differentiate us, and we want to create value where our customers are. This strategic approach not only sets industry standards but also emphasizes our commitment to a greener, more efficient future for the communities where we are located,” concludes Albina Iljasov, Head of Europe at XCharge.
